Disabled Access Arrangements
The cottages are all located on a single level and apart from the step in to the cottage there are no other steps. (We do have a wooden ramp available for the step in to the cottage to facilitate easier access.) Within the cottages the floors are either wooden or tiled, there are some rugs but these are easily removed if required. All the doors between rooms are wide enough for wheelchair access.
The wet floor shower room is large enough to accommodate a wheelchair.
The bedrooms are large enough to utilise hoists comfortably and the beds are not divans thus allowing equipment to easily go beneath. We are practical people and if there is a simple solution to making a stay more comfortable we are happy to try and accommodate individual needs.
Currently we do not have any handles or raised loos or any other specialist fittings or equipment although plans are now in place to make some modifications during the winter months to improve this. If you would like further information regarding the plans please contact us.

Hi Debs
Great to hear from you and your news of your active busy family.
Thank you for remembering me with the September dates, because of a busy diary it won't be possible for me to get down.
As a wheelchair user who is paralysed from the neck downwards my stay at Bengrove Farm was exceptional.
The bedrooms, corridor, doorwidths and bathroom was very accessible. A ramp to the front door meant that my large electric wheelchair could enter in and out. The tastefully done wooden floors led to ease of movement with no embarrassment with wet wheels.
The wooden floors were also a great help with manoeuvring a portable hoist around my bedroom.
With decoration finished to a very high standard, an accessible beautiful garden backed up with very helpful and friendly owners one could not wish for anymore.
This is all true Debs
Bye for now
Best wishes
